Offering food to the monastic community provides an opportunity to visit and participate in the lifestyle of the monastery.

Friends of Cittaviveka often enquire about what is needed. Please find below a list of what would help, along with things that we currently have in plentiful supply.

The Environment

As a general encouragement, when wishing to make material offerings, and in particular food, we ask people to consider purchasing items that use minimal plastic in the packaging. This may mean choosing larger bulk packages instead of single portions. Also, choosing items that are sourced more locally (instead of imported) can greatly reduce our carbon footprint.

Bottled Water

Please note that we have our own high-quality water that comes from the well on the property. Therefore, we encourage people to not bring bottled water.

Thank you, Anumodana!
